Hari Raya Wish
It’s the 2nd day of Hari Raya Aidilfitri here in Malaysia and I don’t think it’s too late for me to wish all my family and friends wherever they may be. A very warm and heartfelt wish also goes out to all the readers of this blog (it doesn’t matter if you’re Muslim or otherwise) for without your support this blog will never be where it is today.
What have you been doing this Raya holidays? I’ve been doing the customary family visits along with meet & greet sessions. And not forgetting the food binge ritual so intimately connected with Raya! Ketupat, lemang, rendang, curry this, curry that, carbonated drinks here, cordials there, sweets, sweets and more sweets. Luckily I’m not on any diet!
2 interesting things did happen though. 1) Whilst traveling in the slow moving traffic heading towards Seremban I was tailgated by 4 Lamborghini’s. Yes, that’s right: 4! Three Murcielago’s, one yellow and 2 whites, and one Gallardo. Awesome. There was one major turn-off though; they were weaving like nobody’s business and endangering other motorists. It’s worth noting they had Singapore license plates… 2) Buying lemang at Taman Tun Dr. Ismail is never as grand as this. It was like a ‘pasar malam’ but all the offerings were near identical! Such was the demand.
I’m thankful this Raya is nice and cool most of the time. And I hope you’re enjoying it to the fullest with your loved ones. Eat healthy, drive safely and be merry! Maaf Zahir & batin dari kami sekeluarga!

Lemang! Rendang!
